What is the Natural Living Festival?

The Natural Living Festival is a grass-roots community-building event born with the intention to express the benefits and ease of “green-living” through a day of peace, fun, education, fellowship, and sharing.  This event started out as a simple cloth diaper swap a couple years ago, a way for our online natural parenting group to get together with other like-minded parents to sell and trade cloth diapers and baby carriers, so very simple but oh so much fun.   Our vision grew with each event and in June 2009 we had our first Natural Living Fest.  Included in the loving and joyous day were family garage sale tables, local businesses and artists selling/advertising goods or services, fun kids crafts and activities, and informational speakers and demonstrations of varied topics. Building on the success of last year’s event there are many plans underway for this year. Areas of interest include but are definitely not limited to gardening, the 3 R’s (recycle, reduce, reuse), cloth diapers, diversity, composting, baby wearing, promoting local businesses, yoga, music, etc.  While this is a family friendly event it is also geared to attract our community as a whole. Please stop by regularly for updates on vendors, activities, speakers, and much more.  If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering in any way please let us know!
