Calling all Volunteers
As with any grass-roots movement or event, volunteers serve as the vital lifeblood. Such is the case with the Natural Living Festival. From its early days as a simple garage sale in a parking lot, to last year’s surge into a full-fledged community event, the volunteers are consistently what make it possible. We are actively recruiting volunteers for every aspect of the event. We need people to: help make signs, distribute flyers ALL over the community, clean-up the event greenspace the week before the Festival, set-up and decorate the night before, greet and distribute information/tote bags to families during the Festival, work shifts at a kids' craft table, and help with post event tear-down. If you are willing and able to lend a hand in any way please email Tiffani, Becki, or Shelly soon. More information can be found under the volunteer page.

Since Becki, Tiffani, and Shelly met in January to begin the festival’s organization, several exciting changes to this year’s event are already in the works. One, the festival’s focus is expanding to all of us with concern for our planet. Though a focus is still on being family-friendly, including many children’s activities, more adult themed events and information will be available as well.
“We are excited to expand our audience,” says Becki. “In this day and age, many people are concerned with natural living and ‘going green’ and this festival is a celebration of that lifestyle.”
Another exciting change to this year’s program is the involvement of non-profits. “We want to be more welcoming to those great organizations in our community that support an earthconscious lifestyle, such as Toledo Grows,” comments Shelly, who adds,“This year, we are not charging nonprofits to participate in the festival.” Continued events from last year include informational speaking on a variety of topics, children’s crafts, and a community garage sale. “We can’t wait!” says Tiffani.
